The Dolphin Bay Brief loves to prick your curiosity by telling stories that we find intriguing and that we might all need to know.
In this process of exploration, we tend to overlook the very hard work that takes place behind the scenes in our company. It is time to bring this work to light. Otherwise, it would be a little like winking at a pretty lady in a dark room!
It feels like we’ve been winking at that pretty lady in the dark for some time. Now it’s time to switch the lights on.
“We want all our customers to be more productive than those who do not partner with us and to have a competitive advantage. And our customers do!”
The biggest footprint
While not all our customers realise it, Dolphin Bay has the biggest footprint of all wood preservative suppliers in Africa.
This footprint has grown through the hard and dedicated work of our team over many years. Our representatives visit our customers not just for sales visits but more frequently, to see how we can help. Why?
Our approach is to work with you to see what value we can add to your particular business.
This benefits our customers tremendously. We want all of you to be more productive than those who do not partner with us and to have a competitive advantage. And our customers do!
The most experience
Dolphin Bay has the most experienced team within our industry by far – something that is often missed.
In recent years, many people have retired from the industry, their long years of experience disappearing with them.
Our company has steadfastly kept going – and growing – for more than 25 years, continually expanding our expertise. This is now unmatched by any others in the industry.
As one example of how broadly our services are taken up, most treatment plant operators in Africa have now been trained by Dolphin Bay.
Showing leadership
But it’s not only about products and services; we’ve shown leadership by helping our industry in many ways. This includes enabling the industry to successfully navigate new South African regulations that might otherwise threaten our future. This work is ongoing.
We also helped the East African industry to draft an excellent set of new standards for timber treatment. The list goes on. If there is a way to benefit our individual customers or the industry at large, we try our very best to do it.
We know that we really can make a difference and our contribution to the industry is based on this knowledge. We can see it. We trust that you can too.
Best technical expertise
We are well-equipped, with a laboratory pilot plant where we do tests. These investigations are not limited to the laboratory; we have authored many research reports to solve customers’ specific challenges.
Our team has drafted many site plans for customers to help them optimise their operations, and optimised many of these plants, some achieving an up to 30% increase in production.
Our range of services is not readily available in our industry. Dolphin Bay has developed them over time, to benefit our customers.
We know that we really make a difference, and our contribution to the industry is based on this knowledge.
We can see it. We trust that you can too.
